A Mid-Winter's Meander from Mereworth

The walk goes westwards through fruit farms to West Peckham then southwards along the Wealdway to return to West Peckham on footpaths for lunch. Lunch at The Swan on the Green or picnic on the green. The route then goes through more fruit farms to Grover Hill. From there we venture into the dark Mereworth Woods and via Swanton Valley should emerge hopefully to finally return to Mereworth.
Meet outside church. From direction of M20 eventually take Seven Mile Lane (B2016) and turn left at sign to Mereworth and follow The Street for about half a mile to the church. Parking in laybys outside the church and along The Street.

Medium Grade Walk from Outwood Mill. Mainly field edge paths and farm tracks. There are 20 stiles on the walk. Landscape is rolling farmland with small patches of woodland. No pub stop so bring a drink/sandwich. Hopefully the walk should take 3 1/2 to 4 hours. opportunity to call in the Bell Inn Outwood after the walk finishes. No toilets on route.
Meet National Trust Car Park opposite Outwood Mill. Easiest way there is to drive to Bletchingly and then pick up the road to Outwood.

After 500yds CP on R just after narrow hump back bridge. Pub should open for us for coffee, toilets and order lunch.

If travelling on A 26 from Crowborough towards Uckfield after c 1 m look for turning on left into Sheep Plane at bollard for Rotherfield and Jarvis Brook. After 10 yards turn right into Sweethaws Lane. CP on right after about 2/3 of a mile at walk leaders home after going through golf course. Please try and share cars as limited parking. Toilet facilities at start.

Meet outside the Change of Horses pub. It is not practical to arrive by car. Catch a 358 bus from Bromley or from Orpington station.

High Weald Wander

Easy morning walk along Medway Valley Walk through Aynsford to lunch at Medway Inn, Wouldham or picnic near river. More strenuous afternoon, with a climb up the downs to Burham Down Nature Reserve on Nth Dwns Wy. Then along NDW to Blue Bell Hill (highest point) and Kit's Coty before returning to Aynesford and Allington.
Meet at CP near end of Castle Road. Exit M20 at jct 5 to A20 Aylesford & Maidstone (West). Take A20 towards Maidstone and Allington. After abt 0.5 ml turn left onto Castle Road. CP is abt 0.7 miles on left.
